Extra Credit for Lewis and Clark
Make a one minute video about Lewis and Clark. No other parameters, just have fun and present some of the facts! This does NOT have to be all professional looking. I'm just looking to see that you got involved and told me what you know about Lewis and Clark. Due on Friday, January 28, 2011. I've already had one submission and it was great!!
You can bring these in on jump drives or CD's or email them to me.

Extra Credit for Core Democratic Values
Using the rap of the Core Democratic Values found on my website under Handouts, create your own video/rap. Must have the same words but you can do anything you want for the music and background or have no music at all. Make sure that you are visible in the video. I will give 20 points of EC to anyone who has worked on the video you bring in. Use a jump drive or email me the video by Monday, November 1st, 2010. I found the lyrics for you and they are below!
Lyrics – Core Democratic Values By Daniel Joseph Duey
Core Democratic Values
Verse 1
Core democratic values taught in schools, yep practiced in real
life, so I think we should start off with none other than the
democratic value of life…
Life, it’s a person’s right to live, you can get in big trouble if you’re
beating up kids, so chill, you better ease on up keep your hands
to yourself and quit trying to act tough. Liberty, freedom for you
and me, between you and me I can at least name three.
Personal: think what you want to, no government control.
Political: your right to vote in election polls. Economical: your
right to buy, sell and trade and get a job without the government’s
say so.
Chorus
What’s important to you? If you ask what’s important to me, I’ll tell
you, core democratic values, rights of a citizen written in our
nation’s rules.
Verse 2
Like Will Smith, you’re entitled to the pursuit of happiness, if you
haven’t seen the movie this is what it is: Happiness you can get it,
however you want to get it just as long as no crimes are being
committed. Patriotism, that’s a democratic value showing love for
our country and the values. Truth, the government cannot lie to
us, we need to take some time to learn how to trust. Justice, no
type of individual or organization are treated different no matter
what it is, and common good it’s like you benefitting from material
on my CD like you should…
Chorus
What’s important to you? If you ask what’s important to me, I’ll tell
you, core democratic values, rights of a citizen written in our
nation’s rules.
Verse 3
You want more core democratic values I got three. I’ll start the
third verse with diversity. No matter how you dress, the culture
you be, language you speak. You have the right to celebrate in
what you believe. Popular sovereignty, do you know what it
means? We’re the ultimate authority. The government is
powered by the people, like you and me, they shouldn’t be
ignoring me, you, we. Last but not least, equality. You should be
treated the same no matter race, sex or creed. Democracy, these
are the core democratic values in the life that you lead.
Chorus
What’s important to you? If you ask what’s important to me, I’ll tell
